The only living boy in Rio Cuarto. June 27, 2011.

umm...HELLOOO?
can anyone hear me? i... i could have sworn i had a family, up in a foreign, magical land where everyone has their own computers! and not only that, they use them for hours every day! and not only that, but they dont have to spend hours doing their laundry, because a machine does it! and they dont have to walk across town to get to work and stuff, cause they have cars! that means they probably have so much free time! but wait... if thats true, if these advanced human beings have tons of free time, and their own computers.....why arent they talking to me? could it be that they arent real? that ive been here so long that ive created this idealic memory of a futuristic land, and people who miss me?

Now i find myself filled with confusion, because here i had all this things i wanted to say... and i just cant remember them. I remember that we had another baptism this week, but the details are all of a sudden becoming so foggy... The words keep repeating in my head "7 days!" "youve been waiting for this chance to hear from everyone for 7 days" and as they start to roll together into one constant thought, they change, into something that sounds more like " you made them up, up.....up"

And in this state of consternation, i find myself drifting. Did i really once get a bike for christmas? can i ride a bike? is my brother randy still playing 3 card monty down at the docks with his hoodlum friends? these are questions that have no answers as of yet, because frankly...i dont remember.

cha cha cha KA BAP! June 20, 2011

Great week fam. much to say and not a fifth of the necissary time, so i will give you a great small version. We work like dogs. weve got a few really good new investigators, that we will know more about this week regarding their eternal salvation. Weve got big plans to find me. The food here is usually good, but i ate a whole hamburger that was pretty much straight raw. ugh. just barely cooked on the outside. anyway, ive only lost like 30 pounds since that day so im sure im fine.
Other than that, we had zone conferance on friday and it was amazing! i didnt understand a ton of it but i got a chance to talk to presidant cause i had some questions for him, and we ended up having the most awsome conversation. Talking to him helps me realize how much i know i need to be here. so encouraging! i told him all the stuff im kind of trying to work on and my ideas and my struggles with the language and stuff and he just got all excited and then we both were like excited and talking about all the work we were gonna get done. it was sweet. His wife said i have pretty good pronunciation so thats good. now i just need to know what im saying haha. So saturday night, at 7, it was time for our baptism, and we were the only two there! its all good though. bishop didnt show up but about 10 people did and one of them was a priesthood leader, and then rebeca and her mom showed up so it was all good. i said the opening prayer and she got baptized ! and i took some good pictures, and ran to get them developed right after because i have been putting together a book, with the program from the baptism, the pictures, and then 16 testimonies i got people to write, and i put it all into the book and gave it to her mom to give to her sunday. her mom is still a new convert so i want every good thing that happens to be between the two of them. I think she loved the book. Also, i gave her her confermation blessing in sacrament meeting, which was a bit nerve racking, since it wasnt in english, but i think it went really well.
I have alot of goals for this week. Big ones. And one thing ive figured out with our companionship is that if somethings gotta get done, or we need to leave a house, or something, i gotta do it. and thats fine, its helping me with my spanish. and i like having things be on my shoulders, that way they get done. I think my short attention span is actually a pretty big blessing down here, because theirs a huge culture of like sitting around and sleeping in sometimes and staying for lunch for way to long, and i just dont roll that way, so im making things happen, and its  good. alot of good will happen this week. i want to hear from you all. please tell johnny i still havent heard from him and my rage is building. love you all!

Hello Hello from Mexico. June 13, 2011

You know how everyone is like man Argentina is way European, way different and all that? well the people have light skin sometimes, and the food isnt hot, but other than that its pretty much mexico, at least rio cuarto is. And thats not a bad thing. People here are rad.
Weve had a pretty busy week. Im a little tired so this email isnt gonna say much i dont think, but yeah, everything is really good here. We actually had a legitimate miracle on Wednesday, and because of it, Rebeca is finally getting baptized, this Saturday. You can imagine how excited we are. It totally would not have happened without so many seemingly random things happening to lead up to it. REally, i hate to tell you that its a really good story because im not going to tell it right now. Its long, and it took like 6 pages of my journal to write it down. but ill read it to you sometime probably. After that, weve just kept workin our butts off. we have a huge area and no bikes so we walk alot, and the worst is when you walk across town to be somewhere on time and then they flake and theyre not there, but were working on ways to take care of that. Today will be a fun day, were headed down to centro to do some shopping, so that should be good..also. Man im sorry you guys im feeling lame i just cant think of a ton. WE found a dead armidillo in the road last week, did i tell you that? i took a picture so get excited, it was huge, like as big as our cat. I liked the email pops sent me telling me how all you guys are doing. i hope brandon and kass are reading this because if they are, i will remind them that brandon isnt so busy as he was, and that i hope that they can find 15 minutes to shoot me a line next week. i think about all of you every day. Mom, getting those letters you said you were going to send will be a good day, i only hope it doesnt take 2 months for me to get them, but i think it will. Oh yeah, Daniel, i keep forgetting, did mom tell you the songs that im dieing for? hope so. Also any other stuff thats good that you know about. The guidelines are nothing like romantic, or with a crazy beat, so sadly no dubstep, even though its totally instrumental. Just like chill, uplifting stuff is all good. thanks so much, i owe ya big.
Mom, Argentina needs more moms like you. Pops, I need a chiropracter, and so does everyone else haha, you should take a business trip down here. Brandon, University here is free and that does not reflect in the general education level as far as i can tell. work your butt off and feel awsome for it. Kass, Everyone dies when i show them the pictures i have of Ole and HAzel. I want to hear how everything is going and what kind of hobbies youve got goin on. Sara! how long has it been? im sure you are super busy finishing things up. I miss you real bad so it will be a good day when i hear from you. Jean Marcel, thats nuts that youre working on the oilfields! thats tough stuff, but it will make you big and strong, like me. we play a ton of soccer here, i hope you can keep your skills up so i dont have to feel to bad when i come home and crush you in a match. Daniel, "glob forhyt bibber blevik nik nik dumblemumps, Ellos no saben Castillano, entonces ellos pensaràn yo hablo mucho porque yo escribe mucho, entiende? looztooth y swoldup nazgul, jappy wappy womber bipsquick" sorry folks, just speaking some spanish with my brother. Christal, hear youre taking mad pictures. i am too. but i think meybe too many because it will take forever to tell you what they all are. oh well. ill send the disc as soon as i get my other one. And SOMEBODY; PLEASE TELL JOHNNY TO WRITE ME A DANG EMAIL!
thank you family, if you ask questions, i will answer them. miss you all.
                                                                                                                     Love, Elder  Bridge

Andross has ordered us to take you down. June 6, 2011

FAMILY!
First off, absolutly before anything else, someone needs to call johnny. tell him i hear the "good news" in quotes like that. tell him i "hope he enjoys my whip, and that he understands why i bought a 2 seater" tell him "i know everything".
haha that being said, so good to hear from everyone! Grandpa Bridge! Feliz Cumpleaños! if i would there i would give you some ear tugs. I hope this year is the best year yet.
Okay so, the misson. Things are good, real good. Some things are tough but over all, good. To answer Christals question, i got pretty sick this week. like a flu one day then a cold the next three, it was wierd. but my throat feels a bit better today so hopefully my body will start cooperating. Were working super hard, getting in 4 lessons a day, and weve got HUGE goals for this week. We had a zone meeting this morning, in which they announced that we are switching roles for the week, so im senior comp till monday. told you id make you proud dad. haha but seriously this will help some things. weve got big plans and little time to get them done. keep us in your prayers, because weve got some big obstacles to help people overcome.
Elder Peterson from the MTC is in my District, so ive seen him a few times, which is pretty cool. i dont really know where anyone else is except poor old Elder Frazier haha. he had a tougher time with spanish than i did and now hes in a place where they prounounce all their Rs like they were LLs, which are prounounced like ZH. so yeah, hes gonna have some fun with that.
Elder Moeller and i both like to sing, and that has been so helpful. every time we knock a door we ask to sing, and sometimes they like it enough that we stay to talk, which is good. im afraid we´ll run out of songs so im trying to find some others.
So heres the funny "Elder Bridge being his usual self" story for the week.
Last week, i forgot my soccer shorts, so i was playing in my jeans, which believe it or not are rather restrictive. still,  i was picked last and i scored 6 goals, so i didnt feel to bad about it. then this week, we got to roque sans peña and i forgot my soccer shoes, so after the meeting we took a remy to go get them, and then after that big escapade, i took them out of my bag to put them on, and i had one soccer shoe and one of my fake leather black shoes. at least they were for two different feet. but yeah, my right foot was not so effective playing on concrete today. didnt score a single goal, and i wasted 40 pesos on a remy haha. oh well. classic peg. (johnny would get it)
Okay time is so short... ah. i love you guys so much. i am working hard, and praying for you all. mom im super excited for the box of letters, but in all honesty i shouldnt think about them, because if they take a month to get here than ill see them in two, because they only bring mail this far out once a month, and today was mail day, and i got nothing.. sad is me. oh well, theres always ¡... two months from now eh? heres hoping.
Love yall, miss yall. Elder Bridge
P.s Daniel, can you please put my new mailing address on my facebook page? and if you feel the need to put in a fun little message from me, go ahead and make one up. something i would say.
