Dear Family,
Time is limited, but i wanted to tell you all that im great
and that life is good. The mission is throwing some good curve balls
and i think were swinging a pretty good % so im happy. The district is
in my area were gonna go play some basketball and stuff, so it should
be a pretty chill day followed by a good afternoon of work. Our main
problem really has been having time to do all that we need to, weve
been kind of running a little late, but were gonna work on it so
things will be good.
This saturday one of my favorite investigators is getting
baptized, and the plan is that the next sunday he will recieve the
priesthood and baptize his wife and 8 year old son after church.
pretty fun stuff.
Well, i miss you all and i hope everything is great. way
excited to hear that KAYLEN IS GETTING MARRIED!
Also, everyone make sure and visit grandma bridge and tell her i love
and miss her okay?

Dear Family,
There is a lady in my ward named Graciela who got baptized a
year ago. She is a ward missionary and just an amazing person. She
works in her sons Kiosko, and hates selling beer or cigarettes, so
when people buy them, she sets it down in front of them and says "you
know this will kill you right? Did you know that its against a
commandment of God? that means that if you want to stop, all you have
to do is put your faith in Jesus Christ!" sometimes she shuts up the
Kiosko to invite them in to pray with her before they go, but most of
the time she just gives them an articles of faith pamphlet and writes
their number down to have the missionaries go to their house. I love
this woman. If she was younger than 65 i think id consider coming back
to marry her jajaja. My ward is full of awsome people like that, and
the proof is in the pudding. the work is great, were way busy, and
itll be a good month.
Cordoba missed me.

And then there were dos. October 8, 2012
Family of mine,
so last year one of my really good buds in the mission, Elder
Larson, had just a ton of success, found this family and baptized like
8 people in a month, and since then theyve been baptizing more of
these families memers here and there. I lived with Elder Larson for
the passed 3 months and heard all about them. anyway, I just got
transfered to that area, so last night i (bawling) said goodbye to
everyone, hopped on a bus (with Elder Larson, he has meetings in
cordoba today) and came back down. I passed the morning getting to
know the whole family, their name is Gonsalez, and i think i love
them. Larson is heading back up tonight but i was lucky to be shown
around and meet so many awsome people (at least a few of which were
gonna baptize).
My new comp is 18, he is from Chile and was one of the
experimental Elders. He only has 6 weeks in the mission and hes a
really nice guy, im sure ill learn a ton from him. so after 6 months
with 3 other Elders, im back in an apartment of 2, which will be
interesting. we only live 1 block from the bishop and hes by far the
coolest bishop ive had, and only one block from the church. Everything
seems pretty idyllic, im sure it wont always seem quite that way, but
i feel blessed to be hear. I loved conferance. I have heard that talk
by Elder Holland, he gave it (at least a very similar one) at the MTC
a year ago, and we all have it on DVD. I really loved a few though, of
course Elder Nelsons, but i loved Elders Oaks, Elder Christofferson,
and really, elder Cook, he was just very straight up about the
consequenses of sin, and i think it was needed. Alot of our members
here didnt go, but they mostly have computers, so we´ll be setting up
some familiy home evenings so they can watch them.
I was thrilled, as im sure everyone was, to hear about Gods new
army. We need all we can get dont we? and if peter bridge is any
model, the world wont know what hit it! but we will.
I love you all so much, and felt so close to all of you this weekend.
I love our eternal family.

I guess imma doin alright. October 1, 2012
Dear Family,
This week was pretty hard. i was way sick for a good chunk, and
then i dont know, just kind of feelin down to be honest. its gettin
hot and its always hard when you see people struggling to change, but
it ended on a positive note. A few months ago...wow, like 4 months ago
i guess, i was on an intercambio with elder goggins (who is now at
home) and we were sitting outside this members house waiting for them
to give us lunch in a tupperware. we ended up sitting there waiting
for a while, and it was a pretty hot day. anyway, out of the blue the
neighbor comes out and hands us a plate of 4 empanadas and a lemon. we
were kind of blown away, i didnt think random acts of kindness existed
here. anyway, they were delicious, and then what happens? his daughter
comes and gets our plate and gives us another one! we were kind of
blown away at that point, but then she came back out with two glasses
of pritty limòn, which is this really good lemon soda down here.
anyway, way cool right? we didnt even know what to say.
fast forward, elder goggins went home, and Nation friend day
happened, and i thought "know what? i have a friend to help". So me
and my comp went to that house and gave them a book of mormon with my
testimony in it, and told them its all we had to give, but its the
best there is. We started teaching them, and it turns out that the
daughter is way involved in the catholic church, goes to catholic
school and everything, but they really loved the message, and she
started reading the book of mormon a ton. well, its taken a while, all
things considered, but she got baptized this saturday! it was way cool
to see. her whole family will be members eventually, theyre just
really lazy so its hard to get them to church, but ill do what i can
while im still here. she has two good parents and a little brother
that can all be baptized, and theyre all way nice so it was pretty
cool. anyway, the day is long and i am young and i want to play
soccer.
Love you!

Elder Skinner just sent me these! one is the morning we went to
cordoba to that special training thing. there is a picture in a
liahona of D. Todd Christofferson in front of the same statue. if you
can find it put them up side by side, that would be awsome!
the other picture is hermana hortencia. a new convert, the grandma of
the long haired kid from the other week. shes amazing.
